Volunteer Opportunities

Historic Fort Logan creates a turn-of-the-century environment in its house museum. The Fort’s guides conduct tours of the museum to educate and entertain the visiting public. Volunteers are needed to greet and orient visitors and school groups.

General Requirements for Volunteer Positions

  • Some prior experience in tour guiding or in oral communications before groups.
  • Strong interest in history and willingness to study background materials.
  • Availability and willingness to volunteer at museum.

General Volunteer Duties

  • Assist in guiding tours and explaining exhibits to the visiting public.
  • Study historical references to strengthen interpretive background.
  • Maintaining historical areas in the museum, furnishings and exhibits.
