While we love to see visitors we are requesting that everyone stay home. When the state is not on quarantine we will be resuming our open houses. Until then please stay safe.
If you feel a need to visit you are welcome to walk the grounds and look at the houses that were built in the 1890’s. When looking at the front of the museum the house to the right was the commanding officers quarters. This building when completed housed the commanding officer, his family and his offices. He also had a view of the parade grounds so that he could review the troops from the upper level of the house. (The parade grounds are now used as soccer fields.)
To the right of that building you will see and open space. There was an identical house to ours in that site until it was destroyed by fire.
To your left of the front of the museum you will see a duplex. This building housed Dwight Eisenhower and his family for a term. The duplexes were open to lower grade offices and their families.
