Saddle Room/Office

We call this room the saddle room because of the two saddles in the room.  Notice the uniforms in the display cases and the fireplace.  The fireplaces in each room are all unique as they are all not the same.  Note the map above the fireplace showing the areal view of Fort Logan in 1949 and in 2009.

It is believed that this room at one time might have been the field officer’s office as there is an outside entrance into the house.  This would have been used by soldiers when visiting the officer occupying the house.  This would also made it so that the family would not have been disturbed on those visits.
