Child’s room

Insignia on metal bed that would have been Army issued for use in the house.

Military issued child’s bed from stores.

Toys that would have been during the era when there was no radio or tv.

This room is on the second floor and is at the back of the house. Younger children would have been on the same floor as the parents and may have possibly had a nurse or nanny to look after them. We believe this room was used as such and the nurse/nanny would have had the room next door. The room is set up with toys and beds that the children might have used.

Note the wooden toddlers bed in the corner.

This bed was donated by a member of the Fort Logan Historical group. It has an interesting history in the fact that it was used for four generations before being donated to us. How old it is we don’t know as from what we are told it was given to the donors family after the original family had no more use for it.
